Brought in a Longines with a cracked crystal. The assessment was done on the spot — Manee looked at the movement as well and flagged that the service interval was coming up. No pressure to do it now, just a clear note. The crystal job was done in about a week. Clean, no fuss.

I sent a family ETA 2824 piece by courier from Chiang Mai. Communication was straightforward throughout — I knew exactly what stage the work was at. The condition report that came back with the watch was detailed and genuinely useful. The watch is running well now.

Had a Seiko 5 that had been gaining about four minutes per day. Brought it in for calibration — Siwat explained the process clearly and gave me a timing report when I collected. It now runs within about five seconds per day. The turnaround was five working days as quoted.

My Zenith chronograph needed a full service — hadn't been touched in about eight years. The written estimate was fair and transparent. The watch took about four weeks but returned in noticeably better shape. They didn't rush it, which I appreciated. The six-month period is also reassuring.

I appreciated that they told me straight away that my Omega's movement was outside their usual scope. They didn't take it in just to see — they looked at it, explained the caliber, and suggested where I should go instead. Honest, which is exactly what you want from a specialist.

Crystal replacement for a Hamilton Khaki Field. Simple service, but done well — the gaskets were replaced as part of it, not charged separately as an extra. The case came back cleaner than I brought it. Good value for the work done. Will be back when the movement next needs attention.
Case studies
Three watches, three different situations.
The situation
A 1970s Swiss automatic left unworn for six years
An ETA-based automatic from the early 1970s, inherited from a relative. The movement had not been serviced within living memory and showed poor amplitude — below 200 degrees — with significant beat error. The owner was uncertain whether it was worth the investment.
What we did
Full overhaul with written condition report
After full disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning, the mainspring was found to be fatigued and was replaced. The escapement and keyless work were intact. Following reassembly and lubrication, the movement was regulated to ±8 seconds per day across five positions — acceptable for its age and design.
The outcome
A running watch with documented history
The watch was returned with a full condition report covering the state of each component, the parts replaced, and the timing results. The owner now has a running piece with a documented service record — and a clear picture of what future service will involve.
The situation
A chronograph running inconsistently in certain positions
A Swiss chronograph with a column-wheel movement, serviced elsewhere three years prior. The owner noticed the rate varied significantly depending on how the watch was positioned — gaining in crown-up, losing in crown-down.
What we did
Calibration assessment — regulation only required
Timing machine measurement confirmed the positional variation. The movement was otherwise in good condition from its recent service. Regulation across five positions, along with a minor beat error correction, was sufficient to bring the watch within acceptable limits without a full overhaul.
The outcome
Consistent rate across positions, lower cost
The watch now runs within ±12 seconds per day across all positions. The owner paid for calibration only — ฿4,800 — rather than a full overhaul that was not necessary. We flagged that a full service will be appropriate in approximately two years.
The situation
A moonphase watch with a scratched sapphire crystal
A contemporary dress watch with a moonphase complication and a badly scratched sapphire crystal. The movement was recently serviced by the original retailer. The owner wanted the crystal replaced without disturbing the movement or the case finish.
What we did
Crystal replacement — conservative case handling
A replacement crystal was sourced to the original specification. New gaskets were fitted. No polishing was done to the case — the original brushed surfaces were left exactly as found, which was the owner's preference. The movement was not touched.
The outcome
Clean result, original finish preserved
The watch was returned in eight days with a new crystal, intact water resistance, and undisturbed case finishing. The owner was satisfied that the original character of the piece had been respected throughout.
