How we approach every watch that comes through the door.
Every watch is assessed on arrival before any service decision is made. We record the movement's condition, check its rate and amplitude, and look at the case and crystal. From this, we determine which service is appropriate — and whether the watch is in scope for us at all.
We do not sell services the watch does not need. If a watch requires only regulation, we say so; we do not use that as an opportunity to recommend a full overhaul. The assessment is the foundation of everything that follows.

Service 01
Sapphire Crystal Replacement

A focused service for replacing scratched or chipped sapphire crystals on contemporary timepieces. We source crystals to original specification where the manufacturer allows, and fit them with new gaskets to maintain water resistance ratings. The case is cleaned and lightly hand-polished only where the original finish allows. Suitable for wristwatches with intact movements where the cosmetic refresh is the primary concern.

Service 02
Movement Calibration & Regulation

A timing service for mechanical wristwatches that have drifted from the owner's preferred rate. Work includes regulation across five positions on a timing machine, beat error correction, and amplitude verification. Where the existing service is recent, regulation alone may bring the watch back to its target rate; where deeper work is needed, we provide a clear written estimate before continuing. Often paired with a basic case clean and gasket check.

Service 03
Full Service — Complicated Movements

A complete overhaul for mechanical wristwatches with added complications — moonphase, calendar, GMT, and chronograph functions. The service includes full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication with the appropriate oils for each contact point, and reassembly with timing adjustment. We work primarily with Swiss-made movements and a selection of well-established Japanese calibers. The piece returns with a written condition report and a six-month workshop period.

If you are uncertain, bring the watch in without any particular service in mind. The assessment will clarify what is needed, and we will explain our reasoning before recommending anything.
Standards we hold
Technical protocols shared across all services.
Correct cleaning method
Parts cleaned ultrasonically before reassembly. Residual oils and particulate matter removed before fresh lubricants are applied.
Specification lubricants
Each surface receives the lubricant specified for its speed and load. No shortcuts, no generic alternatives.
Calibrated equipment
Timing machine calibrated and maintained. Results are repeatable and documented rather than estimated.
Written documentation
Condition is recorded at intake and at completion. Full overhauls include a written report. Nothing goes undocumented.

Prices below cover labour and standard consumables. Parts are quoted separately and itemised in your written estimate before any agreement is made.
